How to Make a Six-Pack Candy Holder

The best part about this project is no spray paint or screws are needed. Just your Cricut and some paper.

These little treat holders make a perfect gift for any occasion. Simply select papers to fit the recipient and you will be a gold star gifter!

The first thing to do is to grab the design.

Upload the file into your design software.

I use Cricut Design Space and the next several steps will be based on that.

If you use Silhouette Studio or a different design software, your steps may be different.

The first thing you may notice is that the main body of the design doesn't have a fill, there are only cut lines, so you can see the grid behind the design.

The cut file has many intersecting lines, some cut lines, and some score lines, so I couldn't create the carrier with a "fill" but have no worries. It works great!

The purple shapes are the decorative side pieces of the six-pack holder and are completely optional to cut out.

Before we can cut we need to make some adjustments.

Highlight the entire design and select Ungroup.

In the layers panel, there are two line layers. When you select each layer you will see one is large and covers the entire design. That one we leave as is.

The other layer is only about half of the design when highlighted. This layer we need to change to score.

To do that, highlight and select Operation, and then Score. This will change that solid line to a dashed line.

If you are using the 1-ounce bottles then youDO NOTwant to resize the design. It is sized perfectly to fit those bottles.

Now you can continue and select Make It to send the design to your Cricut to cut. Make sure to follow the prompts so you know what mat to load and when to insert the scoring tip.

Make sure to turn your mat over and peel the mat back from the paper to remove it from the mat. This will keep your paper pieces from curling.

When all of your pieces are cut you will have 6 decorative pieces, and 1 body.

It is easiest to add decorative pieces before you begin folding.

Add some double-sided adhesive to the back of each side panel and adhere it to the front of the base.

Using a bone folder will help you get nice crisp fold lines and I definitely recommend using one.

Turn the shape right side facing down, and begin folding in on the side and bottom score lines.

On the shape, there are a total of 6 wavy cut lines.

Hold the shape so the right side is facing you.

At the top of the wavy lines, fold that score line up/out, and at the bottom fold it down/in.

Again with the right side facing down, apply adhesive to the first slant of each section, and around the handle.

Fold the left tab in, and apply adhesive on the right side of the tab.

Align the holder hole on both sides and press to adhere.

Press the slanted tab with the adhesive into the box end on both sides, tuck in the tab, and adhere.

You should be able to lay the box flat on each side.

Apply adhesive to both short bottom tabs.

On one long bottom side, apply a line of adhesive along the bottom.

Hold the box bottom up.

Fold in the two side tabs, and then fold in the long tab with the adhesive strip.

Last, fold the long tab onto the adhesive.

The final step is to place the box on its bottom and use a bone folder to press those tabs together from the inside of the box.

Now your box is assembled and ready to be filled with treats!

The mini bottle is such a cute container, but make sure to purchase the correct size bottle. I have tested the 2oz bottles do not fit. You want the 1oz bottles.
